Arsenal Women Sister Club

27th September 2019 - After many seasons outside the competition, last night, Arsenal once again starred in the UEFA Women's Champions League, playing home against Italian giants Fiorentina at Meadow Park; dispatching their opponents 2-0 in a comfortable victory. Arsenal now progress to the last 16 of the Women’s Champions League for the first time since 2013/14.

For such a momentous occasion, we at Borehamwood 2000 were honoured and hugely excited to provide the guard of honour and pitch-side ball-girls for this key match in front of a very big crowd, with 20 of our lucky girls being invited and involved. A great time was had by all and being so close to the action, literally within touching distance in many cases, our girls received a fascinating and invaluable insight to the women's game at the very highest level. Pictures of our experience can be found in the image gallery.

16th September 2019 - As part of our Arsenal Women Sister Club partnership, Borehamwood 2000 were delighted to welcome Arsenal Women's coach - Junior Alade - to our Pursley ground to provide an expert training session for all of our girls. Each of our three teams enjoyed their own dedicated session, with Junior putting them through their paces and giving them a valuable insight to the training methods, mindset and drive associated with the professional female game.

As you'll see from the pictures, the girls loved it, rightly felt special, responded brilliantly to the challenge and gained further motivation and confidence to push on with their football going forward. As if that wasn't enough, all our players received complimentary tickets to any Arsenal Women home game they wish to attend this season; what more could a girl possibly want?!

There will be more sessions and other opportunties for the girls in the near future as our rewarding collaboration with Arsenal Women continues throughout the season. All our teams are looking for new players so if you want a part of this for yourself or your daughter, just get in touch?
