Club Secretary & Child Welfare Officer 2019/20 - Mary Marshall

I've lived locally for many years and my son plays with the U11 Boys.

Whilst I can’t claim to be an expert on football, I have attended many training sessions and games over the years and I’m pleased to be able to offer my support to this super club, its coaches, parents and children.

Any queries, just email me on

U9 Girls Manager 2019/20 - Dave Hobbs

I was born and bred in Borehamwood, representing QPR as a teenager then playing semi-professionally for local clubs including Tring Town and Potters Bar. I have forty years playing experience of the game I love and a wealth of knowledge I want to pass on to the next generation of players.

I am an FA Level One coach and ready to give my all to the children I coach. If you want to learn and be part of an exciting new team, come and join me and my daughter on what promises to be a great adventure!

U11 Boys Manager 2019/20, Club Chair & Treasurer - Dave Makamian

I once played semi professionally for the mighty Edgware Town but, got old and just a little portly, so packed it all in to focus on youth football! I had the huge pleasure of managing one of our girls' teams for many seasons, but, once they had enough of me, I decided to start the journey off again, this time with the boys. We're coming off a great season, remaining unbeaten in the WFL U10 League Cup and just missing out on Finals Day by a solitary point! Always on the look out for motivated and ambitious players so if that is you, get in contact now; email me via

U11 Boys Coach 2019/20 - Marcus Montgomery

I grew up playing for local teams in Borehamwood, and still try to play as much as possible to keep these (starting to get old) legs moving as much as I can. Joined the Wood two years ago with my son, wanted to coach and with the club's sponsorship, am now FA Level One certified. My son and I have not looked back and are proud to be part of the footballing family at Borehamwood 2000, with myself and the other staff keen to pass on our football knowledge to the boys and keep this great team spirit we have within the club!

U15 Girls Manager 2019/20 - Tim Hopwood

I'm a local lad currently based in London Colney. I played football all my life before getting my coaching badge and taking on the management of my daughter's side a few years back. We've got a fantastic group of girls who are friendly, welcoming and improving in their football all the time. We're always on the lookout for keen and enthusiastic new players so give us a call if you're interested?

U15 Girls Coach 2019/20 - Charlie Clarke

I was at Charlton & Spurs as a youngster and still love playing football now. I've watched and supported my family in different Wood teams over the years and, wanted to put my knowledge of the game to good use. Sorry you Lilllywhites but, I'm an avid Arsenal fan and with the Wood being an Arsenal Women Sister Club, what more could a coach want!

U16 Girls Manager 2019/20 - Adam Joseph

Growing up in East London, I've been passionate about football for as long as I can remember. I got my first Leyton Orient season ticket (costing a whole £10) at 12 and have followed the team through thick and (mostly) thin in the lower divisions ever since. My daughter joined the Mighty Wood a couple of seasons ago and during that time I've fulfilled almost every role as a member of the "back-room" staff including team delegate, linesman, groundsman and traffic marshal. I can now complete the full set of roles as U16 Girls manager! If you've an interest in football, are keen to improve and this is your age group, don't hesitate to get in touch?!

U16 Girls Coach 2019/20 - Susie Branigan

I grew up locally supporting Watford and Arsenal, and am now a keen Arsenal Women’s supporter. My daughter joined the Mighty Wood a few years ago and having seen the amazing difference that playing for the team has made to her confidence, I agreed to help out alongside their fantastic managers. The team are very welcoming, and we have the best supporters in the league, so come and join us as we aim to make our mark in Div 1.
